Ingredients
- 3,300 g chicken legs and thighs
- 3½ teaspoons salt
- 4 teaspoons onion powder
- 4 teaspoons garlic powder
- 2 teaspoons thyme
- A sprinkle of cayenne pepper

- Lemon, for rinsing
Instructions

Rinse the chicken with vinegar and lemon, then pat dry and place it in a large bowl.

- 3
Preheat the air fryer to 200°C.
- 4
Arrange the chicken in a single layer with the skin side facing down. Cook in batches as needed so the pieces are not crowded.
- 5
Air-fry for 20–25 minutes, turning the chicken halfway through, until the skin is crisp and the chicken is fully cooked.
- 6
Let the chicken rest for a few minutes before serving.
Notes & serving ideas
- For the best browning, start with the skin side down and do not overcrowd the air-fryer basket.
- Chicken is safely cooked when the thickest pieces reach an internal temperature of 75°C.
